Atlanta Motorsports Park proudly hosts kart racing events throughout the year.
Atlanta Motorsports Park hosts at least one race every month on its kart track, ranging between three different series. AMP’s main series is the Kart Championship Series, which currently holds events from April to October and carries a point tally towards a championship banquet in November. AMP also holds a Winter Series from November to February, and AMP’s LO206 Trophy Cup, which is an LO206-only series that runs on AMP kart track’s B-Layout on Sundays.
Kart Championship Series
The AMP Kart Championship Series in 2016 consists of 7 races spread over 7 months, with an on-going point tally that counts toward a series championship. The series holds races on Saturdays with on-track action starting at 8:30 A.M. and running until 5:30 P.M. The best 6 out of 7 point totals count towards a driver’s championship, meaning that the lowest or worst race is dropped from the total. For more information, click here.
Winter Kart Series
AMP also hosts monthly races on Saturdays over the winter months in its Winter Kart Series. The series runs from November to February in a four-race season with the three best races counting towards an overall championship. It follows the same class structure as the current year’s Kart Championship Series, unless a tech bulletin is posted in advance. For more information, click here.
LO206 Trophy Cup
Atlanta Motorsports Park is also very proud to present the inaugural AMP LO206 Trophy Cup, which is a three-race series that will run on Sunday mornings throughout 2016. What makes this series unique is that not only is it limited to just the LO206 Senior and LO206 Master classes, but it runs on AMP’s B-Track Layout. The race format is condensed but is just as exciting, if not more, than AMP’s Winter Kart Series and Kart Championship Series raceday formats. For more information, click here.
