In order to keep your teen safe on the road, learning to drive needs to go beyond the basic traffic laws.

According to the CDC, per mile driven, teen drivers aged 16 to 19 are nearly three times more likely than drivers aged 20 and older to be in a fatal crash.

That’s why Atlanta Motorsports Park is committed to providing a top-tier driving program designed to teaching young drivers how to sharpen their skills and improve handling of their vehicle under adverse road conditions. AMP’s Teen Driving School prepares your teenager for how to handle the unexpected when – not if – it happens.

“We’re really proud of this program and the impact it has on participants.  AMP is a  completely immersive motorsports experience, and education and safety are a big part of that,” Jeremy Porter, AMP CEO, said.

Now entering its third year, AMP’s Street Smarts Teen Driving Academy equips novice drivers with the tools and knowledge they need to handle driving hazards in the safest way possible. The one-day program was created to generate awareness of the major risks and dangers that come with getting behind the wheel and encourages teens to practice safe driving techniques that could save their lives in the future.

We sent our 15 year old to the street smart teen driving program last weekend. The kids had the chance to learn life saving skills from seasoned professionals and had fun at the same time,” Steve Frank, the father of a Street Smarts graduate, said.
