Just Track It hosted another very successful High Performance Driving Event event at Atlanta Motorsports Park on 25th October 2013. With 92 registered drivers and three run groups sorted on driving ability and experience, everyone was able to maximize track time on Atlanta’s newest and most exciting road course. The novice drivers got instruction from our team of certified driving instructors and seasoned racers.
The AMP staff worked hard all day to make the event a great success. The sessions ran on time all day long and many of our participants let us know how important that was to them. The corner workers kept a watchful eye on the trackside action and together with the FIA lighting system, drivers were kept aware of their surroundings and track conditions.
From an organizers perspective, the AMP team made running the event very easy and allowed us the time to walk the paddock and meet and greet our participants.
Driving AMP is a real treat. Its elevation changes and technical corners, while challenging, make for a very exciting track day. We look forward to returning in 2014.

A partial conversation I (webmaster) had with Darryl…
My first visit to Atlanta Motorsports Park, Oct 25, 2013. Late in the day, lap times between 1:40 and 1:37, and I tried a little too hard on the carousel! Mazdaspeed Miata on BFG Rivals, with approx 165-170 whp.
“Oh nice! And sorry I almost messed up your tire wall! haha
Seriously, I’ve done 5 California tracks, and 4 back east here, and AMP is the most technical, challenging track I’ve done. I felt so lost the first session! I was pointing everybody and their dog past me. Second session I was getting comfortable , and then better throughout the day.”
