Kent J. Hussey
Mr. Hussey has over 40 years of experience in executive management, finance, and turnarounds in a variety of business sectors, including aerospace, automotive, electronics, and consumer products.
In mid-2009, as CEO of the global consumer products company Spectrum Brands, Hussey led the company through a re-organization followed by a 2010 merger, which resulted in a $3 billion revenue, significantly reduced debt, and partnerships with brands such as Remington, Rayovac, Black & Decker, ToastMaster, George Foreman, 8 in 1, Hot Shot and numerous other consumer products.
Prior to joining Spectrum as chief financial officer in 1996, Hussey served as Executive Vice President of Finance and CFO of ECC International, a global producer of industrial minerals and specialty chemicals. He directed expansion programs in Far East, Australia, and New Zealand with an aim to capitalize emerging business opportunities.
Hussey has also been Vice President of Finance and CFO of The Regina Company, President, COO and CFO of Astechnologies, and has held financial management positions for The Conair Group, United Technologies Corp., Fairchild Industries Corp., and Grumman Aerospace Corp. Hussey earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Rochester and his Master of Business from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
