TS Racing Atlanta (TSRA)
Our first kart race at AMP is now in the history books. Some great racing. Congratulations to the winners:
- Kid Kart – Brayden Huguenard
- Yamaha Sportsman – Ryan Detlor
- TaG Jr. – Henry Brass
- TaG Sr. – Alex Sala
- Shifters – David Weber
We had a nice group of spectators who enjoyed watching the spirited racing in all classes. The battle for the lead between Justin, Lee, Danny and Alex in TaG Sr. was especially captivating!
The eight race, 2013 campaign will compete on the second Saturday of every month. The season will conclude on October 12th with the ‘double points’ Vega Tires Nationals.
Now it is time to start planning for Race #2, Saturday, April 13th. We have revised the class structure, bringing our weights more in line with the World Karting Association (WKA) Manufacturer’s Cup rules and added a Yamaha Masters class as a ‘Local Option’. Also following WKA the Yamaha Sr. class will use the new pipe exhaust while the Jrs. will continue with the Can exhaust. Please remember to check your weight to make sure you are compliant for our next event.
Entry fees for the TSRA racing series will be $65 for non-AMP karting members who pre-register, and $70 for registration at the track. AMP karting members will receive a $15 registration discount on either type of entry. Adult pit passes will be $12. Children 12 years old and under will be $8. Transponder rental will be $20 per race day or they can be purchased for $250 from TSRA.
Gates will open each race day at 7:30 AM with practice starting at 9:00 AM. The series rules and regulations and the complete series schedule can be found on the TSRA website at http://www.TSRacingatlanta.com/KartTrackRules.html.
