2017 AMP Kart Championship Series Round 6 Recap

 

Round 6 of the 2017 AMP Kart Championship Series took place on Saturday, Aug. 19 at AMP Kart Racing. Registration for Round 7 on Sep. 9 is now open.

Tag Cadet: 4 Racers

Tag Cadet class Spencer Lofton qualified on pole and was able to maintain his 1st place position during the pre-final and the final race. Second place went to Raiden Nicole followed by Nicholas Daniell in third.

Tag Rookie: 3 Racers

Copper Van Wingerden was 1st in the Tag Rookie class followed by Christian Foster and Vincent Capitillo.

LO206 Junior: 4 Racers

The LO206 Juniors had an eventful day.  In qualifying Spencer Bush broke his track record of 63.680 to 63.590 in the pre-final Erikson Evans set a new track record at 63.397 and in the final race Zach Holden beat that record and set our new track record at 63.201.

In qualifying Spencer Bush qualified on pole in the pre-final there was a strong battle between Bush and  Evans. Bush held his position in the pre-final winning by .02 seconds going into the final race for the LO206 Junior class Spencer maintained 1st place followed by Zach Holden in 2nd while Erikson Evans rounded out the top 3.

Shifters- 3 RacersB

Brian Spek came in first place followed by Jose Garcia in second followed by Brian Katz.

Tag Senior: 6 Racers

In qualifying Chris Jones was on pole. During the pre final Sam Marmurowicz came in first followed by Aidan Johnson and Brent Brooks. In the final race for the Tag Senior Class Brent Brooks took first place.

Tag Master- 8 Racers

Simon Cartin started on pole in the final race Donald Davis took first place followed by Simon Cartin and Lon Washurn.

LO206 Cadet- 4 Racers

Grayson Upchurch III was able to maintain his 1st place position from Qualifying, Pre- Final and Final. Raiden Nicol claimed second followed by Preston Patro.

LO206 Senior- 17 Racers

Nicolas Lefferdo qualified on pole and was able to maintain his first place position during the pre-final and final race. Max Muir took second followed by Adam Phillips in third.

LO206 Master- 4 Racers

Kyle Robinson came in first place followed by John Callanan and Steve Redmond.

Pro-concession 5 Light 1 Heavy

Curtis Cantrell held first place until the final race where Scott Jolliff took first place followed by Ian Carpenter in second and Alton Patterson in third.
