Atlanta Motorsports Park had the privilege of hosting Georgia Governor Nathan Deal, State Senator Steve Gooch, State Representative Kevin Tanner and NASCAR Hall of Fame Member Bill Elliott along with their guests for a Racing Experience in support of Senator Gooch and Rep. Tanner on June 1, 2017.
Guests were able to test their driving skills on AMP’s Formula 1 style kart track in AMP’s fleet of Sodi karts. They were also able to experience AMP’s 2-mile road course during BMW ride-alongs. A lucky few even got passed by “Awesome Bill from Dawsonville” himself out on track in his Mustang.
Following an afternoon of driving, Governor Deal and Bill Elliott addressed the group and spoke of their love for Dawsonville and how important it is to be engaged in your community.
